FAQs about Thread Vein repair:
How does Thread Vein repair work?
Short wave diathermy is a treatment used to lessen the visible appearance of thread veins. We use a fine needle to prick the skin over the thread veins and deliver a controlled electrical current to the vein. This heats the walls, causing them to stick together and seal the vein off from further blood flow.
How many sessions are needed?
The number of sessions needed depends on the veins, typically one session and a follow up 4 weeks later will repair the vein. However, some veins will need more than 1 session.
What areas of the body can be treated?
Thread veins on the face and body can be treated using advanced electrolysis (short wave diathermy).
