Anti-Wrinkle Treatments

Botox (Botulinum Toxin) is a muscle relaxing injection used to soften the appearance of fine lines around the forehead, eyes, mouth, and cheeks. It works by blocking the nervous impulses directed towards the muscles that cause the wrinkles, the muscles are then relaxed which removes or improves wrinkles in the area treated, giving a softer, more youthful appearance to the face.

FAQs about our Anti-Wrinkle treatments:

How does Anti-Wrinkle work?

Anti-wrinkle injections, Botulinum Toxin Type A, is an approved protein used in the UK for the treatment of frown lines, crows’ feet, and fine lines around the face. It is injected into the treatment area using ultra-fine needles. It works by blocking the nerve signals that are needed to make the facial muscles contract – it is the repetitive movements that make the wrinkles and fine lines appear! Once injected, the muscle movements are decreased, therefore reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

Are Anti-Wrinkle injections Painful?

The procedure is not considered painful, some clients will find some discomfort during the treatment, topical anaesthetic is applied to make the treatment more comfortable.

How quickly will I see results? How long does it last?

Results can be seen 3-7 days post treatment, and results will last between 3 and 6 months. The body metabolises the Botulunimum and movement will slowly return in the area, some clients choose to have their treatment every 3 months to prevent the movement occurring.
