What treatments can help my acne?
Acne is a common skin concern which affects most people between the ages of 11 and 30, so here in the clinic we offer treatments which are suitable for all ages!
One treatment that we use is our IPL laser (clients must be 18 or over) The heat from the laser sterilises the tissue to prevent further outbreaks while softening and regenerating the scar tissue. The laser also strengthens the skin which aids natural healing. We recommend a course of treatments for the laser to reduce the acne as much as possible and help to heal the skin completely. Adding a micro dermabrasion to your laser sessions is the perfect way to enhance your results! Our Crystal Clear Microdermabrasion treatment system allows us to treat lines and wrinkles, dull dehydrated skin as well as being an amazing breakthrough treatment for acne scarring and sun damaged skin. Micro Dermabrasion safely exfoliates the skin using fine crystals, which gently re-surface the superficial layers of the skin. This facial is ideal for all skin types and will minimise the appearance of fine lines, pigmentation, dull, lifeless, sun damaged skin and acne.
Another treatment which we offer to clients who are under the age of 18 is the Monu Peel and Reveal (however the peel is great for mature skin too!) This is great for anyone suffering with congestion, breakouts, acne, pigmentation, and uneven skin tone. The powerful combination of Glycolic, Salicylic, Lactic and Citric acids deeply exfoliates to loosen stubborn dead skin cells, unblock pores, and firm skin, revealing a brighter, more youthful appearance after just one peel. The ideal recommendation for the best, long term result is one facial a week for six weeks followed by one facial per month to maintain the fabulous results.
What treatments can help with my acne scarring?
One out of five acne suffers will be left with scarring! Acne scarring is most commonly left by a cyst or nodule that has burst and damaged the surrounding skin; however, it can be caused by any type of acne spot. Scarring can be seen as pits in the skin or just as marks left behind when a spot goes. When the skin is healing, extra red blood cells rise to the surface of the skin to produce collagen (the skins natural healing process). However, a scar can be left behind due to an overproduction of collagen. When this happens, the body replaces the original skin with fibrosis tissue – therefore leaving the skin with an uneven skin texture.
Our ResurFACE fractional laser can help with the improvement of acne scarring, the laser targets minute sections of the skin with the laser light, which penetrates the tissue, causing small columns of thermal damage which in turn stimulates significant collagen renewal. The surrounding non affected areas of skin aid the body’s natural recovery process, allowing dramatic improvement to the skin texture and appearance with little downtime.
Our latest RF (radiofrequency) Microneedling treatment will improve acne scarring too! This treatment penetrates the skin with ultrafine needles at different depths while simultaneously releasing radiofrequency energy to heat the skin in a controlled manner!
